Hi y’all, I’m Jared Matthews. I’m 25 years old and music has always been my first love. Ever since I was little, music has always been a big thing in my life. Our house was never without any it, whether it was the latest number 1 hit song from the radio or the old tunes my dad always used to hum. But, as much as I loved music, it didn’t love me back as much. Singing wasn’t how I wanted to express my love for music, so I wanted to play some instruments. Several lessons – and expensive ones, too – in guitar, piano, and even drums, I learned nothing. I was ready to just give up when I told myself, “hey, why don’t you just teach yourself how to play the guitar?”
It seemed like a good idea because, I can go at my own pace, and I don’t have to pay myself to learn how to play. A few weeks later, I’m as good as playing the guitar as the next guy. And what do you know, I’ve been playing gigs ever since and racking up more dough than I’ve ever imagined.
